WATERTON ON HORSEBACK 🐎

Some places are best explored on foot... others from the back of a horse!

Riding through Waterton National Park was one of the highlights of my Rockies road trip. Between peaceful aspen forests, flower-filled meadows, mountain views and the shores of Middle Waterton Lake, every part of the trail felt different and offered a new perspective of the park. ⛰️

The original plan was to do a 3-hour ride, but the weather had other ideas. Instead, I ended up doing both the 1-hour and 1.5-hour rides with @alpinestables. Grey skies and a bit of rain followed us throughout the day, but honestly, I think it made the landscapes even more beautiful and gave the whole experience a really authentic atmosphere.

Sometimes adventure isn't about perfect weather... it's about embracing whatever nature decides to throw your way! 🤍

🇫🇷 Certains endroits se découvrent mieux à pied... d'autres à cheval! 🐎

Explorer le parc national de Waterton à cheval était une chose que je ne voulais pas manquer! J'étais en "cowboy country" après tout :) Entre les forêts, les prairies fleuries, les panoramas sur les montagnes et les rives du lac Middle Waterton, chaque portion du sentier offrait un nouveau décor. ⛰️

À l'origine, je devais faire une randonnée de 3 heures, mais la météo en a décidé autrement. J'ai finalement fait les parcours d'1 heure puis d'1 h 30 avec @alpinestables. Le ciel gris et la pluie nous ont accompagnés une bonne partie de la journée, mais avec le recul, je trouve que cette ambiance a rendu l'expérience encore plus authentique.

Comme quoi, il n'y a pas toujours besoin d'un ciel bleu. Des fois il suffit juste de s'adapter! 🤍

MORAINE LAKE AT SUNRISE 💙

I've seen hundreds of photos of Moraine Lake before this roadtrip...but nothing prepares you for seeing it with your own eyes.

As the first light slowly crept across the mountains, the whole place went strangely quiet. Sure; there were hundreds of people... yet somehow it still felt like one of the most peaceful moments I've experienced (I found a spot away from the crowd).

After a very early start and a sleepy drive with @into.the.wild.tours, coffee in hand, blanket around the shoulders, all that was left to do was watch nature put on a show.

Safe to say this one had been sitting on my bucket list for a long time... and it somehow managed to exceed every expectation. 🌄

🇫🇷 J'avais vu des centaines de photos du lac Moraine avant de faire ce roadtrip...mais rien ne me préparait vraiment à le découvrir en vrai.

Au fur et à mesure que les premiers rayons éclairaient les montagnes, tout est devenu étonnamment silencieux. C'est sûr qu'il y avait des centaines de personnes autour... et pourtant il y avait une ambiance plutôt paisible (j'ai trouvé un coin un peu éloigné de la foule).

Après un départ bien avant le lever du jour et un trajet encore à moitié endormi avec @into.the.wild.tours, un café à la main et une couverture sur les épaules, il ne restait plus qu'à regarder la nature offrir son spectacle.

Ce lever de soleil était sur ma bucket list depuis longtemps... et il a largement dépassé toutes mes attentes. 🌄

MORAINE LAKE SUNRISE 🌅

When your alarm goes off at 3:30am, you definitely question your life choices... 😅

But about an hour later, I was standing in front of Moraine Lake watching the first light hit the Ten Peaks... and I was really blown away by what I saw.

After three days of rain and grey skies, we couldn't have asked for better conditions. I headed there with @into.the.wild.tours, who picked me up straight from the campground, and before I knew it I was walking up to Rockpile with a coffee in one hand and a blanket keeping me warm while waiting for sunrise.

Even though there were plenty of people, I still managed to find the perfect little spot for my tripod and simply enjoy the show. And honestly... no photo or video will ever do this place justice. Definitely one of those mornings I'll remember for a very long time. ✨

🇫🇷 Quand le réveil a sonné à 3h30, je me suis clairement demandé pourquoi je m'infligeais ça... 😅

Mais une heure plus tard, j'étais devant le lac Moraine à regarder les premiers rayons illuminer les Ten Peaks... et j'ai clairement pris une claque visuelle.

Après trois jours de pluie et de nuages, on ne pouvait pas rêver de meilleures conditions. Je suis partis avec @into.the.wild.tours qui est venu me récupérer directement au camping, et quelques minutes plus tard je montais vers le point de vue de Rockpile, un café à la main, bien au chaud sous une couverture en attendant le lever du soleil.

Malgré le monde, j'ai trouvé un petit coin parfait pour installer mon trépied et profiter pleinement du spectacle. Et franchement... aucune photo ni vidéo ne pourra vraiment rendre justice à cet endroit. Clairement un de ces moments dont je me souviendrai pendant longtemps. ✨

YUCAB REEF 🐠

This time, I'm taking you to Yucab Reef, one of Cozumel's shallower dive sites.

Despite the sallow depth, the reef was full of life! We swam through huge schools of fish, spotted several beautiful lobsters hiding among the corals, and even came across a couple of nurse sharks along the way. 🤿

To finish the dive on a high note, a starfish was waiting for us near the end of the reef. A great reminder that you don't need to go deep to enjoy an incredible underwater world 🐠

🇫🇷 Cette fois-ci, je vous emmène à Yucab Reef, un site assez peu profond à Cozumel.

Malgré sa faible profondeur, le récif regorge de vie ! On a traversé d'immenses bancs de poissons, observé de magnifiques langoustes cachées dans les coraux et même croisé quelques requins nourrices. 🤿

Pour terminer la plongée en beauté, une étoile de mer nous attendait à la fin du récif. Comme quoi, pas besoin d'aller profond pour vivre une superbe aventure sous-marine 🐠

LA FRANCESA 🤿

Cozumel is famous for its drift dives, and La Francesa was the perfect introduction! 🐠

The current gently carried us along the reef, making for a very relaxing dive. And the moment we put our heads underwater, we spotted an eagle ray gliding in the distance... what a way to start!

The rest of the dive didn't disappoint either: nurse sharks, turtles, barracudas, colourful coral formations and plenty of marine life. What an incredible first dive in Cozumel 😍

🇫🇷 Cozumel est réputée pour ses plongées dérivantes, et La Francesa était l'endroit parfait pour commencer ! 🐠

Le courant nous a tranquillement portés tout au long du récif, rendant la plongée particulièrement agréable. Et à peine la tête sous l'eau, on a aperçu une raie aigle au loin... difficile de rêver meilleur début !

La suite n'a pas déçu non plus : requins nourrices, tortues, barracudas, magnifiques formations coralliennes et une vie marine omniprésente. Une plongée incroyable pour une première à Cozumel 😍

DOS OJOS 🤿 This time, I'm taking you to Dos Ojos

DOS OJOS 🤿

This time, I'm taking you to Dos Ojos ("Two Eyes"). This famous cenote gets its name from the two openings that can be seen from the surface. 👀

The first dive is called Barbie Line... yes, you heard that right! The story goes that every newly explored cave where a guide line is installed is usually named by the person who discovers it. Most divers choose their own name or something related to the location. But for this one, someone decided to have a little fun: a Barbie doll 💃🏻 is still attached to a rock halfway through the dive! A crocodile figure was even added later on.

The second dive is called Bat Cave because divers can actually exit the water inside a cave that serves as a shelter for a colony of bats right in the middle of the dive. Pretty unique! 🦇

Both dives are absolutely stunning. It's incredible to navigate through these flooded caverns (at less than 5 m / 16 ft deep!) while admiring stalactites, stalagmites, and countless rock formations.

Exploring cenotes has long been in my top 10 dive destinations in the world, and this dream has finally become a reality!

Today, I'm taking you to "The Pit" near Tulum in Mexico. 🤿 From the surface, nothing suggests that a sinkhole more than 40 m (130 ft) deep lies right beneath your feet (and that's only the visible depth, as some underwater passages extend down to over 100 meters!)

The visibility is simply incredible and, since we were the first divers there that morning, we had the entire cenote to ourselves. A truly unique experience that everyone should try at least once in their lifetime 😍

🇫🇷 Explorer les cénotes faisait partie de mon top 10 des endroits où plonger dans le monde, et ce rêve est enfin devenu réalité !

Je vous emmène aujourd'hui à "The Pit", près de Tulum au Mexique. 🤿 À la surface, rien ne laisse présager qu'un gouffre de plus de 40 m de profondeur se cache juste sous nos pieds (et encore, c'est uniquement la profondeur visible, car certaines cavités dans la roche permettent d'atteindre plus de 100 mètres!)

La visibilité est juste incroyable et, comme on était les premiers sur place, on a eu la cénote juste pour nous. Une expérience unique qu'il faut vivre au moins une fois dans sa vie 😍
